Hermann Rülander (born November 21, 1960 ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper .

Career

As an active player, Hermann Rülander was part of Werder Bremen's professional squad in the 1981/82 season . He played his first Bundesliga game on November 7, 1981, when he came on for the injured goalkeeper Dieter Burdenski in the game between SV Werder Bremen and 1. FC Köln . A week later, Rülander was also in goal for the game against Eintracht Frankfurt . After conceding seven goals, he was replaced by Otto Rehhagel at the score of 2: 7 (final score 2: 9) and substitute goalkeeper Robert Frese came on . Two weeks later he left the club.

In 1987 Hermann Rülander rose to the 2nd Bundesliga with SV Meppen . By 1992 he had 95 missions here. After finishing his active career, he was a coach at SV Concordia Ihrhove .

Today Rülander works as a youth coach and as an insurance broker in Papenburg . He also still plays in the traditional Werder Bremen team.
