history

Soccer

The club’s footballers were promoted to the Lower Saxony / Bremen league in 1996 and stayed there until 2004 thanks to a financially strong sponsor. There Concordia Ihrhove met Borussia Dortmund in the first round , against which the club lost 3-0 in front of 14,500 spectators at the Ihrhover Hindenburg Stadium. After relegation from the league in 2004, the club announced the first team due to high financial burdens from the Lower Saxony West . The direct descent into the district class was the result.

After reaching the championship early in the 2007/08 season, the first SVC men's team played again in the Weser / Ems regional league in the new 2008/09 season . After the direct relegation, the team played again in the Weser / Ems 1 district league, before becoming champions there in 2015, but renounced promotion. Two years later, the club pulled the team back to the East Frisian class B.

From the 2020/2021 season, the first men in East Friesland Class A will play season 3 in a group of 10.
