Oliver Grein (born September 3, 1966 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Grein moved to Bundesliga club Bayer 05 Uerdingen in 1990 . For Uerdingen, he played ten games in the Bundesliga. After one season he moved to the North Rhine-Westphalian football league for Rot-Weiss Essen . Under coach Jürgen Röber , he celebrated winning the German amateur soccer championship in 1992 . In the final in front of a home crowd, in the Georg-Melches-Stadion in Essen , Grein had his big appearance after being substituted in the 70th minute of the game. In the 90th minute of the game he scored against the final opponent SpVgg Bad Homburg , the equalizer to 2-2. This enabled Grein, with his goal, the following extra time, in which Greins team-mate Jörg Lipinski scored the winning goal to 3: 2. In the 1992/93 season , he made promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga with the Essenes . In his first season in the second division, the 1993/94 season , he was relegated, during the season the license was withdrawn from Essen, and at the end of the season, Greiner and his teammates would have been relegated to the sporting results. Grein returned with Essen for a year in the 2nd Bundesliga, after which he played for the East Frisian upper division Concordia Ihrhove .

As a player coach, he worked for various regional league clubs in the following years.
