Hermann Reichold

Hermann Reichold (born July 23, 1955 in Nuremberg ) is a German legal scholar and professor of civil law , labor and commercial law at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen .

Life

After studying law from 1975 to 1980 at the University of Erlangen , he received his doctorate in 1985 on the subject of the liability of the resigned partner for pension liabilities . In 1992 he received his habilitation in Erlangen with the work Works Constitution as Private Social Law , which, on the basis of historical-dogmatic basic research, seeks to systematize the works constitution as a collective legal supplement to the contractual partnership between employer and employee and thus as private social law. This was followed by substitute professorships at the University of Konstanz and the University of Greifswald . From 1994 to 2000 Reichold taught at the economics faculty of the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt .

Since 2000 he has been Professor of Civil Law, Labor and Business Law at the University of Tübingen, succeeding Wolfgang Zöllner . From 2008 to 2010 he held the office of dean of the local law faculty . In addition to his professional activity as a professor, he has also been chairman of the board of the Juristic Society Tübingen eV since 2010. He also heads the research center for church labor law that he founded in 2011.

Hermann Reichold was a judge at the State Court of Justice for the state of Baden-Württemberg from 2007 to 2012 .

He also headed the University Council of the Weingarten University of Education from April 2011 to March 2020 and drew a. a. responsible for appointing the rector and chancellor in 2011 and 2017/18.
