Hermann Wagener (transport scientist)

Hermann Wagener (born May 4, 1921 in Hanover ; † January 30, 1994 ) was a German economist and transport scientist .

Live and act

Wagener was in 1954 at the University of Transportation (HfV) with a thesis on the particular problems of technical work standards in the workshop part of the Bahnbetriebswerke doctorate . In 1959 he completed his habilitation at the HfV with an engineering- economics paper on problems of labor productivity in the railway system of the GDR .

Hermann Wagener was Rector of the University of Transport (HfV) in Dresden from 1968 to 1973. In 1971 he was awarded an honorary doctorate from the Technical University of Stettin . Wagener joined the NSDAP in 1939 . In 1946 he became a member of the SED .
