Hermann Wilhelm (local history researcher)

Hermann Wilhelm (* 1949 in Munich ) is a German curator , local history researcher , non-fiction author and painter . He is the founder and director of the Haidhausen Museum .

Life

Willhelm was born in the Munich district of Haidhausen and still lives there today; He grew up at Haidhauser Max-Weber-Platz . From 1971 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Karl Fred Dahmen and additionally philosophy at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .

Haidhausen has a special bond with Wilhelm; he has dealt intensively with the history of the district and is considered an outstanding expert in the field. In 1977 he founded the Haidhausen Museum , which he still runs today. He has published several books on the district and others on Munich's history.

Hermann Wilhelm's pictures and objects can be seen again and again at exhibitions.
