Hermann de Witt

Hermann de Witt (born March 21, 1856 in Kellen ; † November 24, 1909 in Berlin ) was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Hermann de Witt attended high schools in Emmerich and Kleve and studied law at the Universities of Bonn and Berlin from 1876 to 1879. In 1880 he entered the judicial service and in 1885 became a judge and in 1890 a district judge in Cologne. He gave presentations on the bills relating to the taxation of tobacco, the land register order and the military criminal court order.

From 1894 to 1908 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives and from 1893 until his death he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Cologne 6 ( Mülheim am Rhein , Gummersbach , Wipperfürth ) and the German Center Party .
