Hermann von Dobbe

Hermann von Dobbe (born August 15, 1550 - † June 20, 1627 ) was a canon in Münster .

Life

Hermann von Dobbe came from the family of the Lords of Dobbe, who came into the possession of the House of Lyren after 1445 and remained its owner until it died out in 1793. The Dobbes were enfeoffed with the Vogelsang family in 1514 . He was the son of Wilhelm Dobbe zu Lyren († 1575) and his wife Margarethe von Westerholt († 1561). Hermann's eldest brother Bernhard, ∞ with Anna Schmising zu Harkotten, inherited from his father.

Act

On February 29, 1572 Hermann came into possession of a canonical in St. Mauritz in Münster , which Bernhard Kerckerinck had previously waived . From 1573 to 1576 he studied in Cologne . He then resided in St. Mauritz from July 18, 1576. He was elected to the school on February 9, 1594.

On January 16, 1595 it came into the possession of the cathedral priest , which the Canon Adrian von Velen had previously waived . The Turnar Heidenreich from Letmathe had previously presented this day Hermann. He was sworn up on the families Dobbe, Westerholt, Hugenpoth and Lembeck . After only a few months, on July 1, 1595, Hermann resigned to the turnarist Bernhard von Westerholt . This awarded the prebend to Wilhelm von Elverfeldt . On May 23, 1597, Hermann was elected dean in St. Mauritz. He remained in this office until his death. In August 1613 the charge was made against him that he had taken his maid Jutta Korte back into his home after a temporary release. Jutta was released again in September 1624 and moved into the house of canon Johannes von Munster called Dael. In his will of April 27, 1627, shortly before his death, he thought of his former maid Jutta Korte.
