Hermann von Engelhardt
Hermann Gustav Freiherr von Engelhardt (born March 1, 1853 in Würken ( Livonia ), † June 15, 1914 in Meran ) was a German genre painter. He came from the Livonian noble Engelhardt family .
Hermann von Engelhardt was born as the son of the Russian captain Georg Freiherr von Engelhardt. He visited the Schmidtsche Anstalt in Fellin .
He then studied at the Royal Prussian Art Academy in Düsseldorf from 1871 and at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich from November 1, 1872 under Ludwig von Löfftz , Sándor Wagner and Wilhelm von Lindenschmit the Younger .
After completing his studies, Engelhardt worked as a freelance genre painter in Munich.
From 1888 he took part in exhibitions in the Munich Glass Palace .
