Hermann von Hodenberg

Hermann Freiherr von Hodenberg (born January 27, 1862 in The Hague ; † February 24, 1946 in Celle ) was the owner of the manor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Hermann Freiherr von Hodenberg was the son of the Hanoverian diplomat Bodo von Hodenberg . He attended the grammar school in Celle from 1877 to 1882 and the universities of Lausanne , Heidelberg , Berlin and Göttingen from 1882 to 1886. In Heidelberg in 1883 he became a member of the Corps Vandalia . Afterwards he was a Prussian trainee lawyer from 1886 to 1890 and in 1886 served for one year in the Royal Saxon Guard Rider Regiment. Until 1893 he was lieutenant in the reserve and owner of the manor in Ribbesbüttel . In 1898 he became chairman of the German right-wing party.

From 1893 to 1903 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Province of Hanover 10 Hildesheim , Marienburg , Alfeld (Leine) , Gronau and the German-Hanover Party . From 1903 to 1907 he represented the constituency of Hanover 14 (Celle, Peine, Gifhorn) as a member of the Reichstag.

He married Countess Helene von Kielmansegg on May 24, 1888 (April 3, 1862 - August 12, 1926). The couple had several children.
