Hermann von Münch

Hermann Karl Christoph von Münch (born December 3, 1813 in Hirschberg (Saale) , † January 8, 1883 in Hof (Saale) ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born as the son of a weaving manufacturer, Münch studied law in Erlangen after attending grammar school in Hof . During his studies in 1840 he became a member of the Bubenreuther fraternity . After completing his studies, he worked from 1848, appointed legal advisor , in the magistrate of the city of Hof, where he also worked as the rectorate administrator from 1849 to 1853. After that he was rector of the municipal agricultural trade school, later the secondary school, until 1865. From 1856 to 1869 and from 1875 to 1881 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament for the Progressive Party . In 1857 he became a legally qualified mayor of the city of Hof. In 1882 he retired.
