Hermann Werner , from 1879 by Werner , (born February 18, 1821 in Ellwangen , † October 15, 1890 in Cannstatt ) was a member of the state and Reichstag.

Hermann Werner was born as one of six children of Johannes von Werner , who later became the director of the Reutlingen Chamber of Finance , and his wife Friedericke Christiane geb. Fisher born. His oldest brother was Gustav Werner , who later founded the brother house in Reutlingen.

Life

Hermann Werner attended the Latin school in Nürtingen and the grammar school in Stuttgart. From 1838 to 1840 he then received practical training in writing and administration at various law firms. After a practical training at the Sindlingen estate , he studied at the Agricultural Academy in Hohenheim from 1842 to 1844 . After study trips through Germany, in 1844 he took up a position as an administrator with Count Drechsel in Karlstein near Regensburg. From 1845 to 1851 he was in the service of the Duke of Croy-Dülmen in Weddern in Westphalia.

From 1851 to 1865 he was director of the newly founded State Agricultural School in Kirchberg / Oberamt Sulz and from 1865 to 1872 director of the Hohenheim Agricultural and Forestry Academy . From 1872 to 1876 he devoted himself to the management of his estate in Nürtingen- Oberensingen . From 1876 Werner was President of the Royal Württemberg Central Office for Agriculture in Cannstatt . He retired on January 23, 1890.

politics

Between 1870 and 1890 he was a member of the Württemberg I. Chamber as a member for life. He resigned the mandate on April 7, 1890 for health reasons.

From 1878 to 1881 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Württemberg 5 ( Esslingen , Nürtingen , Kirchheim , Urach ) in the faction of the German Reich Party .

Honor

In 1879 Hermann von Werner received the commentary cross of the Württemberg Crown Order , which raised him to the personal nobility.
