Hervé Bourde

Hervé Bourde (born July 12, 1951 in Marseille ) is a French jazz and improvisation musician ( saxophone , flute , clarinet , also piano , bolemar, synthesizer ) and composer .

Life

Bourde, who comes from a musical family, studied with Jean-Pierre Rampal and Alain Marion at the Académie internationale de musique de Nice. As a flautist, he received first prize at the Marseille Conservatory. In the 1970s he worked with Barney Wilen , Christian Vander and Laurent Cugny . In 1979 he played the album Engatsse! With Bernard Lubat and Barre Phillips . a. In 1981 he recorded the solo album Saxophonus . In the 1980s he continued to play with Phillips and also with John Surman , Aina Kemanis , Pierre Favre , Henri Texier , André Jaume , Raymond Boni , Jean-Marc Montera , in the 1990s he worked with Franco D'Andrea before joining founded his own quartet, from which a quintet emerged. He has also composed for the theater, the Paris Ballet by Carolyn Carlson and film ( Guns et diesel by Robert Kramer , Charles Sterling by Richard Copans ).
