Ducs de Bellegarde

After Saint-Lary's death (1646) without any legitimate descendants, the title was given to the House of Condé . The areas designated as the Duchy of Bellegarde inherited Anne-Marie de Saint-Lary, Roger's niece, who three years earlier had married Jean-Antoine-Arnaud Pardaillan de Gondrin († 1687). The marriage remained childless, her heirs were the descendants of the marriage of her aunt Paule de Saint-Lary († 1621) with Antoine-Arnaud de Pardaillan de Gondrin . In 1715 this was Louis Antoine de Pardaillan de Gondrin (1665–1736).

In 1649 the duchy and peerage were transferred from the Marquisat de Seurre to the Marquisat de Choisy-aux-Loges (today Bellegarde (Loiret) ) (including the associated and dependent areas), which itself came from the county of Choisy-aux-Loges and the areas of Chailly , Amilliers, Belardin, Mézières , Fréville , Sury-aux-Bois , Beauchamps , as well as the fief of Les Ruës (including the associated and dependent areas) had been formed.
