The Hesselborn is a larger stratified spring near Mömbris in the Aschaffenburg district in Bavaria .

geography

The source is north of the Niedersteinbach district at 275  m above sea level. NN , on the Kohlberg (313 m). It rises on the left slope of the Teufelsgrund , in the forest area Kammerforst . Below the source, the Hesselbornweg named after her runs to the former location of the Rothenberger Hof . The brook that rises from the Hesselborn flows to the northwest and flows into the Geiselbach after about 500 m, where it flows off almost 100 meters in altitude . The state border with Hesse (municipality of Freigericht ) runs about 15 m below the source .
