Hessian Singers Association
The Hessian Singers Association (HSB) is the largest choir association in Hessen. He sees himself as the contact person and representative of the Hessian amateur choirs and choral societies. It represents the interests of around 1,200 associations with 2,050 choirs and around 44,000 singers vis-à-vis the public and politics. It is based in Wiesbaden , and its office is in Oberursel .
Through its membership in the German Choir Association (DCV), the Hessian Choir Association is networked throughout Germany and Europe. For its members, the Hessian Singers Association provides contact persons for musical, organizational, legal and administrative issues. He organizes concerts and competitions, choir studios, choir literature days and choir workshops. In addition, he takes care of the youth work as well as musical training and further education. On behalf of the Hessian state government, the Hessian Singers Association coordinates the Hessen State Youth Choir , the Hessian selection choir for young singers.
The Hessian Choir Association trains (vice) choir directors and offers advanced training events for them. For this purpose he maintains two schools for choir directors in Frankfurt am Main and in Marburg.
