The Hetzeberg is a 359.9 m high elevation and marks the field boundary between the districts of Ettenhausen an der Suhl and Oberrohn in the city of Bad Salzungen in the Wartburg district in Thuringia .
The only partially forested Hetzeberg is located on the eastern edge of the Frauensee forest and has been used for agriculture for centuries. The name refers to the small settlement of the same name Hetzeberg .
The former state border between the duchies of Saxony-Meiningen and Saxony-Eisenach runs over the mountain , as evidenced by several beautiful coat of arms stones. As a northern continuation of to occur Weißendiez belonging Seebigsrain on the western corridor Ettenhäuser border in appearance.
