The district is located approx. 2 km northeast of Tiefenort in a corridor surrounded by forest . To the northwest, a farm road leads to Dönges on federal highway 84 . The geographic height of the place is 290 m above sea level. NN .

history

Weißendiez was first mentioned in a document on February 13, 1315. In the chronicle of the place is written about several stages of ownership and the development of the name.

The place belonged to the Frauensee monastery . With the office of Frauensee he came to the Landgraviate of Hessen-Kassel after the Reformation and in 1816 to the Grand Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach . In the 18th century the place belonged u. a. the house of Hessen-Philippsthal .

In the 19th and 20th centuries there were constant changes of ownership for the property. In 1841 Weißendiez became a manor under the owner Johann Georg Deubach . In 1931, Mr. Weyrauch was the owner of the manor, which was then expropriated in 1945 after the decisions of the victorious powers over Germany. The land and the inventory were given to resettlers and farmers. The district had a total of 23 residents in 2012.
