The district of Dorf Allendorf lies east of the core town of Bad Salzungen, south of the Werra , on state road 1121 and federal road 62 . The geographic height of the place is 260 m above sea level. NN . The largest prefabricated building area in Bad Salzungen and the Werratal barracks are partly located in the Allendorf district.
history
Allendorf was first mentioned in a document in 1218. There was a Cistercian convent in Allendorf until 1527 .
It was incorporated into Bad Salzungen on July 1, 1950. 443 people live in the district.
politics
In 2014, the main statute of the city of Bad Salzungen was changed so that the village of Allendorf became an independent district within the meaning of the Thuringian municipal code . The district gave itself a district constitution . In the local elections in Thuringia 2014 on May 25, 2014, a district mayor and a district council for the village of Allendorf were elected for the first time . Ronald Wagner received 95.8 percent of the votes cast and became the first district mayor of Dorf Allendorf.
