Picture on festival
The picture on festival is annually since 2000 in the Austrian Bildein ( Burgenland ) held-find rock music - festival . The festival was founded by the cultural association KuKuK Bildein (association for the promotion of art, culture and communication in Pinkaboden). The venue is the center of the small community of Bildein , which gives the festival a familiar flair. Most of the staff working on the festival site work on a voluntary basis.
history
The first festival took place in 2000 with the aim of establishing festival culture in southern Burgenland . Back then as a one-day event in the old parish stalls, the festival was continuously expanded. The first open air event took place back in 2001. In 2002 the cooperation with the Hungarian partner association Gradisče started and the picture on festival became part of a comprehensive EU project. In 2004 a festival day was sold out in advance for the first time.
Over the years the number of visitors has increased more than tenfold to a maximum of 2,500 visitors per day. Numerous international acts such as NOFX , Uriah Heep , Jimmy Cliff , Sum 41 , Gentleman , Adam Green , Life of Agony , Wir sind Helden , Soulfly , Papa Roach , Guano Apes , Marla Glen , Jestofunk , Colosseum , As I Lay Dying , K's Choice , New Model Army , Therapy? , Clawfinger , Monster Magnet , The (International) Noise Conspiracy , IAMX , Mad Caddies , Hot Water Music , Leningrad Cowboys , Ektomorf , Sugarplum Fairy , Wallis Bird , Katzenjammer , Liquido and The Sisters of Mercy have performed so far. In addition to international artists, acts from Austria and Hungary, the winners of the Burgenland band competition "America is Waiting" and the participants in the rock seminar taking place beforehand are an integral part of the program.

2000
The first festival took place indoors in the Stadl Bildein on September 23, 2000 with the band 330mle as headliners, the following Austrian bands also performed: Stahl , Black Dogs, Tripzoo, Soulfinger, QVOEAL, Exit, the_dication, Skip-It! and Back To Eden.
2001
Held for the first time over several days and as open air, Zeronic , Bluespumpm , Garish , 330mle, Black Dogs, Avalon, Soulfinger, the_dication, Skip-It !, Noise Victim and Back To Eden played on June 8 and 9, 2001 .
2002
In 2002 the cooperation with the Hungarian partner association Gradisče started and the picture on festival became part of a comprehensive EU project. From September 6th to 7th, Kurt Ostbahn , Garish and Bruji played among others .
2003
For four days, from August 14th to 17th, the stages in Bildein (Thursday, Saturday) and Szentpéterfa (Hungary) (Friday, Sunday) were played. The border crossing at Eberau, which was otherwise closed at night, was open continuously for the first time. Have occurred, among other Attwenger , Zeronic or the Hallucination Company with Hansi Lang .
2004
The festival took place from August 27th to 28th. The Finnish Leningrad Cowboys and German Les Babacools performed for the first time outside of Austria and Hungary. The first day of the festival was sold out in advance for the first time. Garish , Petsch Moser and PAC with Harri Stojka completed the program.
2005
From August 26th to 27th there were performances by Tito & Tarantula , Clawfinger , Liquido and M3 Classic Whitesnake .
2006
On August 25 and 26, u. a. on: Marla Glen , Therapy? , Jestofunk , New Model Army , The Locos , Texta and The (International) Noise Conspiracy .
2007
The open air, which took place on August 10th and 11th, was sold out in advance on both days for the first time. Performing acts were Jimmy Cliff , Bauchklang , The Locos , Johnossi , Soulfly , Mad Caddies and 3 Feet Smaller .
2008
The festival took place from August 8th to 9th and was sold out in advance. Participating acts were Uriah Heep , Wir sind Helden , Clawfinger , Sugarplum Fairy , Ektomorf , Roy Paci & Aretuska, Fotos and The Incredible Staggers .
2009
The highlight of the festival, which took place on August 7th and 8th, was the appearance of Guano Apes , who only announced their reunion in the same year. Also performed: IAMX , Life of Agony , Mad Caddies , Slut , Caliban . The festival was completely sold out in advance.
2010
To mark the 10th anniversary, the artists appeared on 2 stages for the first time on August 10 and 11, 2010. Program highlights included Adam Green , Colosseum , Life of Agony , Papa Roach , Monster Magnet and Samy Deluxe .
2011
The festival took place for the first time as a 3-day picture on +1 festival from Thursday, August 10th to Saturday, August 13th. More than 25 artists from 9 nations performed on 2 stages, including: NOFX , Gentleman , As I Lay Dying , K's Choice , Wallis Bird , Ignite , Katzenjammer , The Dillinger Escape Plan , Hot Water Music , Russkaja , Amsterdam Klezmer Band and Therapy? .
2012
The festival took place from August 10th to August 11th. Highlights were In Extremo , Jimmy Cliff , Sum 41 , Leningrad Cowboys , Anti-Flag and ! DelaDap . Alf Poier , Clara Luzia and others played on the second stage in the apple orchard. The band Ramazuri made their debut at the festival on Thursday at the opening party .
2013
The festival took place from August 9th to August 10th. The main stage featured The Baseballs , Kosheen , Mother's Finest , Fear Factory , Jennifer Rostock , Kvelertak , Donots and Royal Republic, among others. Mambo Kurt and Attwenger played the Uhudler stage in the apple orchard.
2014
The festival took place from August 7th to August 9th. Participating acts were Nazareth , Skid Row , The Busters , Terrorgruppe , Norbert Schneider , Life of Agony , Bonaparte , Triggerfinger , Ivan & The Parazol and Alkbottle . Idle Gang feat. Skero and Hauk played on the Uhudler stage in the apple orchard.
2015
The festival took place from August 7th to August 8th. For the main stage were, among others, Stereo MCs , Hans Söllner and Bayaman'Sissdem , The Subways , Wanda , Bluespumpm , Jesper Munk , Ocho Macho , Soulfly , Black Stone Cherry , Seether and Drescher.
2016
The festival took place from August 11th to 13th, 2016. On the main stage were, among others, Uriah Heep , Seiler and spear , LaBrassBanda , K's Choice , Marky Ramone , Caliban , Zaporozsec and Nino from Vienna on.
2017
The festival took place from August 10th to 12th, 2017. The line-up included Bad Religion , Less Than Jake , 5 / 8erl in Ehr'n , Minisex , Max The Sax, Fijuka, Worried Man & Worried Boy, Ozone Mama, Cari Cari, Alpha Blondy & The Solar System , Sear Bliss , August Burns Red , Horny Woman, The Weight , Shantel & Bucovina Club Orkestar , Elektro Guzzi , Mother's Cake , Polkov, Scheibsta & Die Buben and a reading of “ships”.
2018
The festival took place from August 9th to 11th, 2018. The line-up included Sepultura , Ten Years After , Lagwagon , Birgit Denk und Band , Voodoo Jürgens , Chefboss , Gudrun von Laxenburg, Bo Candy & His Broken Hearts , Napaea, All Your Sorrows, Calexico , The Darkness , Naked Lunch , Eskimo Callboy , Ocho Macho, Ankathie Koi, Los Cravalleros (Le Craval acoustic project), Coffeeshock Company, Wham Bam Bodyslam, Fatal Error, Astpai , Crush, The Scarlet, Wulkatal Trio.
2019
The twentieth picture on festival took place on August 9 and 10, 2019. The line-up included The Sisters of Mercy , Manfred Mann's Earth Band , Clawfinger , Dub FX , Fiva , Krautschädl , Leyya , Schmieds Puls , Gnackwatschn and Gewürztraminer & The Mixed Sentence.
