Heufeld's story begins in 1857 with the construction of the chemical factory . One of the founding fathers of today's Süd-Chemie was Justus von Liebig . He developed the superphosphate fertilizer.

The industrial town of Heufeld is the oldest in the Mangfall Valley . The well-known 12 Apostle Houses were built for the workforce even before the chemical factory was completed. It is one of the oldest factory settlements in Bavaria . After the construction of the factory was completed, the train station was soon built. Only three years later, in 1860, the village fire brigade was built. It is the oldest village fire brigade in Bavaria. The Gasthof Bauer in Heufeld was the central focus of social life. This is where the clubs met and cinema screenings and dance events were also on the program.

On October 12, 1953, the foundation stone was laid for the Catholic Church, which was named after Saint Korbinian . Exactly 11 months later on September 12, 1954, the church was consecrated by the auxiliary bishop Johannes Neuhäusler . The consecration of bells took place on January 23, 1955 .

In addition to the construction of the parish church, the parish curate Sebastian Loidl, appointed in 1954, also initiated the construction of a parish home, a youth home and a sports home. In 1979 Pastor Loidl was made an honorary citizen of the Bruckmühl market. Before 1954, the citizens of Heufeld were tied to the Högling-Weihenlinden parish.
