Witch house. 10 years of "Thuringian murder and manslaughter" or witch's house. 10 years “Death from Thuringia” is a publication published in 2005 for the tenth anniversary of the band Eisregen and consists of a mini CD and a DVD .

About the CD

Originally it was planned to release the final album Menschenmaterial at the end of 2005 , but the idea came up to produce an anniversary CD beforehand , which is considered to be a time gap filler, among other things. The CD consists of eight songs, including five new songs, a cover version of the song " Lili Marleen " and two reinterpretations of the pieces "In der Grube" and "Thüringen". In addition to some (but not all) of the lyrics, the booklet also includes photos from the ten years of existence of the band, a brief recap of the band's history and short comments on the individual songs.

About the DVD

The two-hour DVD primarily shows the music video of the new song "Elektro-Hexe", which was shot by Jalaludin Trautmann. In addition, it offers a detailed making-of that extends over about an hour , which was filmed by several members of the production and, due to lack of time, largely unedited on the DVD. It also shows recordings from the studio "Klangschmiede Studio E" and some interviews with the band members. A video shot at the release party is also shown, in which you can see pictures of a live performance and again some interviews.

background

  • The electro-witch is not a completely new song, as it was played at a concert before the appearance of the witch's house and a studio recording was made later.
  • The song "Thuringia 2005" is a reinterpretation of the song "Thuringia", which was included on the indexed album Krebskolonie . By dividing it into List B and the resulting ban on distribution, it was no longer possible for the band to use the song at concerts as a conclusion. The new recording made it possible again for the band, but the lyrics had to be changed slightly and the music restructured.
