Physiological effect

4-Hexylresorcinol irritates the skin and mucous membranes. It has an anesthetic effect , as a disinfectant antiseptic and against parasitic worms as an anthelmintic .

use

The substance is used as an antioxidant in fresh, frozen and deep-frozen crustaceans.
