history

Heydenhof was laid out in the years 1820/21 by Wichard Wilhelm von Heyden as a Vorwerk von Kartlow . The place originally consisted of four day laborers' houses, one house each for the governor (administrator) and the cattle keeper, as well as several farm buildings and stables. The bricks required were made in our own brick factory on site. In 1862, 138 people lived in Heydenhof.

From 1897 to 1945 the line of the Demminer Kleinbahn Ost (DKBO) ran from Schmarsow to Jarmen through the town, which had its own stopping point.

During the Second World War , two makeshift shelters were set up for resettlers . After 1945, 62 new farmer positions were created in the course of the land reform . Several barns were demolished to get building material for new farms. By 1956 the number of new farmers sank to 33, and finally 30 of them founded LPG Type I “8. March".

In 1999 Heydenhof came to the municipality of Kruckow as the previous district of Kartlow.
