Hi Tek 3
Hi Tek 3 , also Hi-Tek 3 , was a Belgian dance project consisting of producers El Sati, Kovali and Yosef Wolde-Mariam, which existed from 1989 to 1991 and released two singles and an album .
Career
For the debut single Spin That Wheel , which was released at the end of 1989, the trio got support from Technotronic producer Jo Bogaert and rapper Ya Kid K , which can also be heard on various Technotronic hits. The common song, whose David Morales mix is also part of the Technotronic album Trip on This - The Remixes , was in the British charts for three weeks in February 1990 and reached number 69. In September of that year, Spin That Wheel rose a second Times in the English charts and made it into the top 20 during his seven-week chart stay . The track came to number 69 in the US singles charts and even climbed to number 3 in the US dance charts.
The follow-up single Come On and Dance , a collaboration with Belgian DJ Frank De Wulf and rapper MC Shamrock aka Shalamon Baskin, which was released in the same year, could not follow up on the success of its predecessor and missed a chart listing. In 1991 the Hi Tek 3 project came to an end. Yosef Wolde-Mariam became part of the Madcon duo from 1992 , which is still successful today.
