The Hidropark ( Ukrainian Гідропарк ) is a two Dneprinseln in the Ukrainian capital Kiev situated Park with an area of 365  hectares .

Use and development

The Hidropark is a local recreation area opened in 1968 in Kiev. It houses an entertainment complex with many water sports and leisure options such as beaches, boat rentals, around 30 restaurants, a casino and more. Action is now being taken against the extensive illegal building on the islands.

location

The park is located on the Venetian Island ( Венеціанський острови Wenezianskyj ostrowy ) and the Dolobezkyj Island ( Долобецький острови Dolobezkyj ostrowy ), two river islands in the Dnieper in the city of Dnipro . The 144 m long Venetian Bridge , built in 1966, connects the two islands. The park is connected to the Kiev metro network via the Hidropark metro station . Since November 5, 1965, the 700 m long metro bridge has led to the right-hand Dneprufer in place of the Nikolaus chain bridge that ran over the river until 1920 . To the south, the Paton Bridge touches the island. North of the Venetian Island and west of Dolobezkyj Island is another river island, Truchaniw Island , which is not part of the Hidropark, but forms its own, quieter local recreation area.
