Hieronim Augustyn Lubomirski
Prince Hieronim Augustyn Lubomirski (* around 1647 in Rzeszów ; † April 20, 1706 ibid) was a Polish magnate , politician and grand hetman of the Polish crown .
Life
Lubomirski was a knight of the Order of Malta , Marshal of the Sejm since 1683, Kronschatzmeister since 1692, voivode of Krakow , Kronhetman since 1702. He led the Marshal of the Sejm, the shops from January 10 to May 21, the 1,681th
Under the command of Jan Sobieski , he fought against the Turks and took part in the siege of Chotyn in 1673.
On September 12, 1683 he fought in the Battle of the Kahlenberg and was distinguished by extraordinary bravery. He also took part in the subsequent campaigns in Hungary.
During the king's election in 1697, Lubomirski supported Prince François Louis de Bourbon, prince de Conti, as a candidate for the Polish throne. In 1704 he advocated the deposition of August II , hoping to come to the Polish throne with the help of the Swedes. After Stanislaus Leszczyński was elected King of Poland, he retired from political life.
