Prince Hieronim Wincenty Radziwiłł (born May 11, 1759 in Nieśwież , † September 18, 1786 ) was a Polish-Lithuanian nobleman .

Life

Radziwiłł comes from the noble family Radziwiłł and was a son of Prince Michał Kazimierz Radziwiłł . He married Princess Sophie Friederike von Thurn und Taxis (1758–1800) in Regensburg on December 31, 1775 , with whom he lived mostly in the family's castle in Biała Podlaska . He acted there in 1778 as godfather of the violinist George Bridgetower .

A big blow for Radziwiłł was his wife's liaison with the composer and pianist Jan Ladislav Dussek , who had been the conductor of Radziwiłł's older brother, Prince Karol Stanisław Radziwiłł , at the family palace in Nieśwież from around 1782 . On January 17, 1784, she and Dussek fled from there across the Prussian border to Tilsit . Karol Stanisław Radziwiłł reported on this in a letter on January 25th. From there they traveled on to Hamburg , from where the princess went to Regensburg alone and was reconciled with her husband.

He himself was awarded the Order of the White Eagle and the Order of Hubert and died at the age of 27.

family

His son was Dominik Hieronim Radziwiłł (born August 4, 1786 in Biała Podlaska, † November 11, 1813 as a result of his injuries in the Battle of Hanau ).
