Hieronymus Conrad Virdung von Hartung

Hieronymus Conrad Virdung von Hartung (born October 26, 1640 in Marburg , † January 6, 1708 in Würzburg ) was a German physician and professor of medicine in Würzburg .

Life

Hieronymus Conrad Virdung von Hartung studied medicine at the University of Tübingen . After completing his doctorate , he was initially a city doctor in Markbretten and personal physician to the Prince of Schwarzenberg . He later worked as a professor of medicine at the University of Würzburg and at the same time as the Prince Bishop's personal physician .

On April 27, 1664 Hieronymus Conrad Virdung von Hartung was registered under the registration number. 27 with the academic surname Melissus I was accepted as a member of the Academia Naturae Curiosorum , today's German Academy of Natural Scientists Leopoldina .

His successor was his son Philipp Wilhelm Virdung von Hartung .
