Glomsås, which started for Bærums Værk IF , made its first international appearance at the 1996 Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Asiago . There she was seventh over 5 km classic. The following year she won the bronze medal with the relay at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Canmore . In addition, she achieved 11th place over 5 km classic. Her first of a total of 12 individual World Cup races she completed in November 1997 in Beitostølen , which she finished classically in 35th place over 5 km. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Pontresina in 1998 , she won the gold medal over 15 km classic. In the 1998/99 season she came in the points four times and thus reached the 31st place in the overall World Cup, her best overall result. In addition, she won third place with the relay in Oslo . At the highlight of the season, the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1999 in Ramsau am Dachstein , she ran in seventh place over 30 km classic. This was also her best individual placement in the World Cup. In the following season she finished 48th in the overall World Cup with three results.
