Hildegard Rogel

Hildegard Rogel (born March 4, 1937 in Schweinfurt ) is a German former politician of the SPD .

Life and career

After attending grammar school, Rogel studied German, history and theology at the University of Würzburg , and later became a teacher. In 1963 she passed the first and two years later the second state examination for higher education in Lüneburg , after which she worked as a teacher in the Marienau school home . In 1969 she moved to Kaiserslautern , where she taught at various high schools. She officiated as senior teacher.

Rogel is the mother of three children. She is a member of several sports clubs, including 1. FC Kaiserslautern , and she was the first chairwoman of the Frauenzuflucht Kaiserslautern sponsoring association. In 2006 she was honored with the city plaque in silver for her long membership in the city council.

politics

1970 Rogel joined the SPD. There she was a member of the state committee and was chairwoman of the sub-district of the working group of social democratic women . In 1977 she moved into the city council of Kaiserslautern, of which she was a member until 2004 and in which she rose to become parliamentary group leader in 1987. From 1991 to 2001 she was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament . In these she was directly elected in the 1991 and 1996 elections in the Kaiserslautern I constituency.

Honor

The state of Rhineland-Palatinate honored her in 2001 with the award of the Freiherr vom Stein plaque .
