Hindenberg is a district of the municipality of Lindow (Mark) in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district in the state of Brandenburg . In 2001, 111 inhabitants lived here.

Hindenberg is ten kilometers north of Lindow (Mark). The place is located in the middle of agricultural fields.

history

The village of Hindenberg is mentioned for the first time in 1365. The name at that time was "domus Hindenberghe". Before 1541, Hindenberg belonged to the Lindow Monastery . From 1541 to 1764 Hindenberg belonged to the Zechlin office , from 1764 to 1872 to the Alt Ruppin office. From 1992 the community belonged to the office Lindow (Mark) until 2003 it became a district of Lindow (Mark).

From around 1530 to 1753 the place was desolate . During this time the land was used by farmers from Lindow (Mark) , Dollgow , Dierberg , Rönnebeck and Banzendorf . In 1753 six farmers and 14 Büdner settled here again . In 1953 the LPG type I was founded, in 1960 there was also an LPG type III.

Schoolyard

There is a monument in Hindenberg, the school homestead.

The former school homestead was built in 1885/1886. The schoolhouse is a single-storey, eaves-standing house with a gable roof. It housed a one-class school and the teacher's apartment. The classroom was also used as a community room for the Protestant church. There is another stable behind the building.
