Hinrich Franck

Hinrich Franck (born November 8, 1956 in Hanover ) is a German jazz musician (piano, electronic keyboard instruments, composition, singing).

Franck studied music at the Berlin University of the Arts and the Cologne University of Music ; at the latter he has been teaching jazz piano and combo direction since 1985.

With his own group, the Franckband , to which Werner Neumann , Claus Fischer and Hardy Fischötter belong, Franck has been active since 1989, has appeared at international festivals in Montreal, Zurich, Vienna and Moers, performed the musical “Dufte” and has seven CDs released with permanent cast. In addition to his main activity as a pianist, he also works as a lyricist, arranger and composer.

Franck worked in the jazz area with Wolfgang Engstfeld , Bob Moses , Clark Terry , Thomas Lehn , Reiner Winterschladen , Dirk Raulf and other musicians from the Cologne scene as well as with Anke Engelke , Gerd Köster , Stefan Raab and Helge Schneider .
