The Hintere Sajatkopf ( 3098 m above sea level ) is a mountain peak on the Wallhorn ridge in the Venediger Group in East Tyrol ( Austria ). It is located in the north of the municipality of Prägraten am Großvenediger . Neighboring peaks are the Kreuzspitze in the northwest and the Vordere Sajatkopf in the south-southeast.
location
The rear Sajatkopf is a secondary peak of the Kreuzspitze. It lies to the east above the Sajatkar and is connected to the Kreuzspitze ( 3164 m above sea level ) by the relatively flat northwest ridge. In addition, the south ridge leads to the Vorderen Sajatkopf ( 2913 m above sea level ). To the west of the rear is the Sajatkar with the Sajathütte to the southwest . To the east is the Timmeltal .
Promotion opportunities
The normal route to the Hinteren Sajatkopf leads from the Sajathütte to an altitude of 2700 meters and then left into the Schrofenflanke, with the ascent partly in gutters and partly diagonally right up to the summit ( I + ). Alternatively, the southern ridge can be walked on, starting from the Sajathütte and first following the path to the Vorderen Sajatkopf. From here the transition follows the wide ridge of the rubble and crags of the south ridge to the summit ( I + or II- ).
