Hiromi Ōminami
Hiromi Ōminami ( Japanese 大 南 博 美 , Ōminami Hiromi ; born November 15, 1975 in Mikata , today: Wakasa ) is a Japanese long-distance runner who specializes in marathons .
In 2003 she was second in the Rotterdam Marathon , in 2004 third in the Osaka Women's Marathon and second in the Berlin Marathon 2004 in 2:23:26, her personal best. At the 10,000 meter run of the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 2005 , she finished 21st.
In 2006 she won the Miami Marathon and was seventh in the Chicago Marathon in 2006 , and in 2007 she won the Rotterdam Marathon .
Her twin sister is Takami Ōminami , who with a marathon best time of 2:23:43 is also one of the 50 fastest women in the world.
