The 2006 Chicago Marathon was the 29th edition of the annual running event in Chicago , United States . The marathon took place on October 22, 2006 and was the fourth World Marathon Majors of the year.
Robert Kipkoech Cheruiyot won in the men in 2:07:35 h and in the women Berhane Adere in 2:20:42 h.
