Hisayoshi Sawada ( Japanese 沢 田 久 喜 , Sawada Hisayoshi ; * December 2, 1947 ) is a former Japanese ski jumper .

Career

Hisayoshi Sawada studied at Meiji University and then joined the company Yukijirushi Nyūgyō , for whose ski jumping team he has since competed.

Sawada made his international debut at the Four Hills Tournament 1971/72 . In the opening jump on the Bergiselschanze he reached the 30th place. After he only jumped to 46th place in Oberstdorf , he broke off the tour and was 95th of the tour's overall ranking. The following Four Hills Tournament in 1972/73 was the most successful of his career. It was the only one where he competed in all four competitions. He achieved 24th place on the Great Olympic Hill in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the best individual result of his career to date. He finished the tour with 748.2 points in 37th place overall.

In 1973 he won the Japanese Ski Championships ( 全 日本 ス キ ー 選手 権 大会 , Zen-Nihon Sukī Senshuken Taikai ) in ski jumping on the 90-meter hill.

At the ski flying world championship in 1973 in Oberstdorf, Sawada reached eighth place with 159 and 119 meters. In December 1973 he started again at the Four Hills Tournament 1973/74 . He only competed in jumping in Oberstdorf. Although he achieved his highest ranking ever with rank ten, he still broke off the tour afterwards and only reached rank 96 in the overall ranking.
