Hjelmshoved is since the late 1960s uninhabited Danish island in the " Danish South Sea ", south of Fyn ( dt. : Funen ) just north of the island Hjortø located. The island belongs to the parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) Drejø Sogn , which until 1970 belonged to Harde Harde Sunds Herred in what was then Svendborg Amt , then to the "old" Svendborg Kommune in Fyns Amt , and since the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 it has belonged to the "new" Svendborg municipality in the region of Syddanmark .
