The Hochalmkreuz is a 2192 m above sea level. A. high elevation on the north ridge of the Birkkarspitze mountain range in the Hinterautal-Vomper chain in the Karwendel in Tyrol , on which there is a summit cross .
The summit cross can be reached as an easy (sure-footed pleasant) mountain hike from the Karwendelhaus . (Ascent time from the Karwendelhaus: approx. 1 hour, approx. 408 meters in altitude). There is the possibility for sure-footed, physically strong and vertigo-free mountain hikers to continue on the Birkkarspitze .
