Laisvall ( South Sami Lájsogädde ) is a place ( småort ) in the Swedish province of Norrbotten County and the historic province of Lapland .
The village in the municipality of Arjeplog is located on Lake Laisan. The main town of the municipality, Arjeplog , is about 30 kilometers to the east. It's only about eight kilometers to Riksväg 95 .
A lead mine operated by Boliden AB , the Laisvallgruvan, existed north of the village from 1943 to 2001 . As a result of the gradual decline in mining and the closure of the pits, the population of the village fell by almost 90% from the maximum in the 1960s to today (2015).
