Ascents

  • From the Gemeindealm in the Eisenerzer Ramsau on a wide path to the Radmerhals saddle , further over the Halskogel and along the Jungfrauplan on a steep, partially exposed path from the south to the summit of the Hochkogel. Walking time: about 3½ hours.
  • From the Gemeindealm via the simply insured Bärenloch- Steig into the valley between Kaiserschild and Hochkogel, further west to the summit. Walking time: about 3½ hours.

The combined tour on the Kaiserschild and Hochkogel (mostly done in this order) requires about 7 hours from Eisenerzer Ramsau.
