The Hochmölbinghütte is a refuge of the Graz section of the Austrian Tourist Club in the eastern part of the Dead Mountains in the Styrian Salzkammergut in Austria and is managed from about mid-June to mid-October . The refuge is located at 1687  m above sea level on the Niederhüttenalm in the municipality of Wörschach .

Tour possibilities

The hut is the stage destination on Salzsteigweg 09 , a long-distance hiking trail from Sternstein in the Bohemian Forest to Arnoldstein in Carinthia .

  • from Hinterstoder , from the former Bärenalm valley station via the Türkenkarscharte ( 1734  m ) in approx. 5½ hours
