Rolf von Hohenhau

Rolf Baron Vielhauer von Hohenhau (born October 12, 1944 in Lechbruck am See ) is a German association official, entrepreneur and local politician (CSU).

Life

Rolf von Hohenhau attended the Jakob-Fugger-Gymnasium in Augsburg. He completed a degree in business administration in Munich with a degree in business administration. He also studied agricultural business administration in Berlin . There is also training as a journalist.

Von Hohenhau was honorary consul of the island state of São Tomé and Príncipe for Bavaria.

Association official

Von Hohenhau has been President of the Association of Taxpayers in Bavaria since 1983; This association acts as an independent regional association of the Association of Tax Payers , which is active throughout Germany. In his capacity as association president, he calls for the economical use of tax revenues. In 2012, for reasons of cost, he demanded that the Bavarian practice for civil servants be put to the test. He passionately takes a stand against the European Stability Mechanism to rescue the euro (ESM). Von Hohenhau runs the Wirtschaftsberatungs- und Verwaltungs-GmbH Augsburg together with his son. He is co-owner of the Kurhotel Königshof Betriebs GmbH, the Kurhotel Königshof Immobilien GbR and the campsite in Lechbruck am See . Since 1974 he has been the executive chairman of the Lechbruck retirement home. He holds 61 percent of the shares in Europarkhotel und Gesundheit GmbH & Co. KG, which has been operating a hotel with 280 beds in Füssen since 2004.

Administrative and supervisory board

Von Hohenhau was a member of the administrative board of Stadtsparkasse Augsburg from 1990 to 2002 and has been again since 2008 .

At ce Consumer Electronics AG (later renamed ce Global Sourcing AG ) von Hohenhau was deputy chairman of the supervisory board from the IPO in 1998 and from 2002 to 2008 chairman of the supervisory board. In his capacity as President of the Taxpayers Association of Europe eV, von Hohenhau presented the 1999 European Taxpayers Prize to Erich Lejeune , the founder of this company.

Local politician

Rolf von Hohenhau sat for the CSU for almost twenty years on the Augsburg city council until 2002. In 2014 he ran again and was elected to the committee as one of 23 CSU applicants. He was chairman of the CSU district association Augsburg West. He founded the citizens' initiative Neue Augsburger Mitte eV (NAM), which takes up questions of traffic design in Augsburg. As a critic from within the party, he has attacked the politics of the Mayor of Augsburg, Kurt Gribl , on several occasions , among other things because of the design of the Königsplatz .
