Mock New Year's throbbing

The Hohneujahrer Pochwasher , also known as the New Year's Pochhaus at the time , was a mining facility in the Johanngeorgenstadt mining area , Erzgebirgskreis , Saxony .

The Poch wash, in which the ore was separated from the deaf rock, was located in today's Jugel district of the mountain town of Johanngeorgenstadt and was built around 1755 in Jugelgrund . The water from the Pechöfer trench was used for operation. The union, United Field in the Fastenberge, formed in 1838no longer used the stamping mill himself and initially leased it to third-party stampers. However, the pounding interest income did not cover the maintenance costs, and the pounding of manganese dioxide led to increased wear and tear on the facilities. The stamping mill was subsequently leased to various entrepreneurs who a. a Lohmühle (1831), a molding factory and then the Nestler & Krutzsch rifle factory until its bankruptcy in 1853. In 1886 a new stamping mill consisting of six stamps was installed, which from 1919 could be operated with a benzene engine when the Jugelbach was short of water .

Due to the downpour on July 6, 1931 in Lehmergrund, the building suffered severe damage, so that the stamp mill, which was already barely profitable, was stopped and the building was converted into a residential building. In the course of the mining of the SDAG Wismut , the building was demolished in May 1955. After 1990, the foundation walls were exposed by job creation measures and an explanatory board was set up.

The mouth of the Gegenglück Stolln is located directly next to the former Poch wash .
