The Hohtälli is a summit on the ridge between the Stockhorn and the Gornergrat , 5 km southeast of Zermatt , Canton of Valais .
The summit was served by 4 cable cars: from Gornergrat, from Gant ( Gant – Hohtälli cable car ), from Rote Nase (very short cable car with only a difference in altitude of 40 m) and to the Stockhorn.
The cable cars from Gornergrat and to the Stockhorn were closed at the end of April 2007. As a replacement, a medium-difficulty, snow-covered connecting slope from the Hohtälli to the Gifthüttli slope was created. A drag lift coming from Triftji serves as a replacement for the cable car to the Stockhorn. It was put into operation in winter 2007/2008.
