Holger Limberg

Holger Limberg is a German English specialist .

Life

From 1998 to 2004 he studied English, sports and mathematics at the University of Münster . From 2000 to 2001 he was Assistant Teacher for German as a Foreign Language at Northgate High School in Ipswich . From 2005 to 2010 he was a research assistant at the Institute for English and American Studies at the University of Oldenburg . In 2008 he was a Morley Scholar at the English Language Institute (ELI) at the University of Michigan . From 2009 to 2010 he was a lecturer at the University of Bremen . From 2010 to 2012 he was a trainee teacher at the Reinbek grammar school . From 2012-2013 he was a teacher for English and sports at the high school Reinbek . From 2013 to 2019 he taught as a junior professor for English didactics at the European University of Flensburg . He has been Professor of English Didactics in Flensburg since 2019 .

His focus is on classroom discourse, pragmatics in language teaching, integrated learning of content and languages, intercultural learning, videography of English teaching and workshops on the language of writing.
