Jørn Grauengaard

Jørn Grauengaard (born September 28, 1921 in Copenhagen ; † January 4, 1988 there ) was a Danish jazz and entertainment musician ( guitar , orchestra conductor) and film composer.

From 1941 Grauengaard was a member of the quintet of Børge Roger Henrichsen and with this also participated in recordings by Henry Hagemann . Later he was the organizer and orchestra conductor of the Odeon - recordings of the Four Jacks and later of Otto Brandenburg . His own groups like Jørn Grauengaards Orkester also functioned as concert and studio accompaniment bands for various Danish pop artists such as Lis Bjørnholt or Nina & Frederik from the late 1950s to the mid 1970s . He can also be heard on recordings by Leo Mathisen , Svend Asmussen & Stéphane Grappelli , Rolf Billberg and Julien-François Zbinden . Tom Lord recorded 55 recordings between 1941 and 1974. He also wrote the music for several films. He also wrote film scores , for example in 1957 for the feature film Für Zwei Groschen Zärtlichkeit and in 1966 (with Ib Glindemann ) for Zieh 'dich an, Komtesse .

During his last years of work, Grauengaard worked for the music library of Danmarks Radio . He has also published several textbooks on guitar playing.
