Holger Müller (theologian)

Holger Müller (born August 19, 1961 in Pforzheim ) is a Protestant theologian and pastor of the Baden regional church . From 2010 to 2015 he was the project commissioner of the Evangelical Church to commemorate 600 years of the Konstanz Council , has been pastor of the Evangelical Church Community of Staffort - Büchenau since October 2015 , preacher in the Ev. KG Weingarten and board member of the European Christian Convention (ECC).

Live and act

Born in Pforzheim and raised in Keltern-Ellmendingen , Müller studied theology in Oberursel (Taunus), Tübingen and Heidelberg . This was followed by teaching vicariate in Waghäusel and parish vicariate in Schefflenz near Mosbach and in the Church of the Resurrection on the Kuhbuckel in Mannheim .

He then worked for almost six years as a research assistant in the practical theological seminar at Heidelberg University with Christian Möller at the chair for church development and pastoral teaching. The dissertation on pastoral care and consolation. Christian Scriver (1629–1693), pastor and writer of edification , received his doctorate in 2003 as a Dr. theol. completed in Heidelberg.

In June 1996 he took up the position of parish priest on the island of Reichenau , he was also a nursing home chaplain for four years, ten years parish pastor in Wollmatingen and six years regional church representative for the 600-year commemoration of the Council of Constance .

On October 1, 2015, Holger Müller took over the evangelical parish of Staffort - Büchenau as parish priest . He makes his long-term research work on Jan Hus and the Council of Constance available in lectures and publications. He is a long-time member of the Evangelical Michael Brotherhood , is committed to the Cross of Nails Movement in Coventry and is active as an ECC board member in the extended preparation team for the 3rd Ecumenical Church Congress in Frankfurt / Main. Müller is also active as a lyricist and composer of hymns.

Holger Müller is married to Johanna Seibet-Müller, he has 4 grown children.
