Holger Schmidhuber
Holger Schmidhuber (born October 27, 1970 in Bad Mergentheim ) is a German visual artist , professor and co-owner of the Fuenfwerken design agency in Wiesbaden and Berlin.
Life
Holger Schmidhuber was born in 1970 in Bad Mergentheim, Baden-Württemberg. From 1992 to 1994 he attended the Hall Academy of Arts in Schwäbisch Hall. He then moved to the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences , where he graduated from the Communication Design course in 1999. Holger Schmidhuber co-founded the 5werke design group in 1997. In 1998 he spent a semester at Parsons The New School for Design in New York. From 2003 to 2007 he had a teaching position at the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences in the field of design, computer science, media and between 2008 and 2009 he was a contract professor at the Free University of Bolzano in the Faculty of Design and Arts. Holger Schmidhuber has held the professorship for typography and design language at the Mainz University of Applied Sciences since 2010 .
