The Dutch linden [ Tilia × europaea , also Tilia × intermedia or Tilia × vulgaris = Tilia cordata (winter linden) × Tilia platyphyllos (summer linden)] is a deciduous tree from the genus of linden ( Tilia ) in the family of Mallow family (Malvaceae). It makes it difficult to distinguish between summer and winter linden , as it naturally combines characteristics of both parents as a hybrid .

The Dutch lime tree is a deciduous tree that can reach heights of about 40 meters and a width of about 20 meters. The slightly crooked heart-shaped leaf is hairy on the underside in the corners of the leaf veins whitish to yellowish. Depending on the weather, it blooms in June to July, but always before the winter lime tree . The nuts are plump and hairy with felt velvety. With its bulbous, irregular thickening on old trunks, it resembles the winter linden, but the leaves are somewhat larger and pale green at the bottom instead of blue-green.

The Dutch lime tree is widespread in Europe as a street and park tree. Little is known about possible wild occurrences.
